On Wednesday night in Abuja, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Strategy, Conflict Resolution and Mobilization Committee convened for the first time.
Mala Buni, the governor of Yobe State and head of the committee, convened the meeting at the Yobe State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.
Governors Hope Uzodimma of Imo, Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers, Hyacinth Alia of Benue, Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta, Uba Sani of Kaduna, and Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti were among those present.
Other attendees included former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, Minister of State for Defense Bello Matawalle, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy Adegboyega Oyetola, Senator Kabiru Marafa, former APC National Legal Advisor Muiz Banire, and Ibrahim Masari, President Bola Tinubu’s Special Assistant on Political Affairs.
The committee members Umar Namadi (Jigawa), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara), and Bassey Otu (Cross River) were not present at the meeting.
Recall that on Wednesday, December 24, President Bola Tinubu established the committee with the goal of resolving internal disputes within the APC and bolstering the organization’s national mobilization initiatives.
