Recent reports that Southern Kaduna, especially Kauru Local Government Area, has been neglected amid growing insecurity have been rejected by a well-known professional forum called “Kaduna Scribes.”
The forum called the allegations “misleading and unfounded” in a statement released on Friday by its National Chairman, Comrade Ezekiel Gambo. It emphasized that these stories did not accurately reflect the proactive and intentional security measures being put in place by Governor Uba Sani’s government.
Kaduna Scribes acknowledged that isolated security events still happen in some areas of Kauru and other villages, but they clarified that blaming the problem on government negligence is a “gross distortion of facts” and a “flawed narrative.”
The statement acknowledged that combating insurgency and banditry is a difficult undertaking and pointed out that no respectable leader, particularly Governor Sani, would stand by in the face of dangers to stability and peace.
Gambo noted that since taking office, Governor Sani has placed a high priority on preserving life, bringing about peace, and fostering unity throughout Southern Kaduna and the larger state. He emphasized that his administration has implemented an intelligence-driven security strategy based on cooperation, inclusivity, and sustainability.
“Regular high-level security meetings involving service chiefs, the Kaduna State Security Council, and community stakeholders to coordinate rapid responses to threats,” he claims.
“To prevent attacks, increased troop deployments and ongoing patrols in vulnerable communities”
He went on to say that ongoing collaboration with religious leaders, youth organizations, and traditional authorities to enhance intelligence collection has strengthened peaceful cohabitation, emphasizing the importance of rehabilitation programs and assistance for the safe return of displaced people to previously impacted areas.
Despite the difficulties caused by criminal elements, the administration’s “whole-of-society approach” is intentional, consistent, and producing quantifiable benefits, according to the Kaduna Scribes.
Instead of spreading stories that could increase anxiety or interfere with operations, the forum asked community leaders, stakeholders, and petitioners to support ongoing security measures through constructive involvement.
The Kaduna Scribes reiterated their faith in Governor Uba Sani, declaring that his administration is still dedicated to saving kidnapped people, protecting people and property, and establishing enduring peace throughout Southern Kaduna.
