2027 Elections: Ugochinyere Says APP Is the Most Structured and Focused Party

In anticipation of the 2027 general elections, Ikenga Ugochinyere, a federal lawmaker from Imo State who represents the Ideato Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, has made a new political step by formally joining the Action Peoples Party, or APP.

The action came after he voluntarily withdrew his membership card from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), claiming an ongoing internal dispute as the cause.

The party’s national president, Uchenna Kingsley Nnadi, welcomed him to the APP family and stated that Ugochinyere’s arrival as a present federal lawmaker and one of the most powerful voices in the National Assembly is a huge benefit to the party.

He implied that the Ideato delegate joined the party out of personal conviction, knowing that APP is moving toward offering Ndimo and Nigeria as a whole a political choice, rather than out of despair or desperation.

“Ugochinyere’s identification with APP is not only a huge plus but also a beneficial step that will strengthen the party and increase its reach throughout the Federation. He declared, “We firmly welcome him into our political family and promise to support him in all of his political endeavors.”

Ugochinyere thanked the party leadership for admitting him after receiving the party membership card in front of many of his followers.

As a former vice chairman of the party, he claimed that being welcomed by APP is like coming home.

The Federal Lawmaker claimed that he joined the APP because, in contrast to the PDP and other parties, it is the only political platform that has not yet been compromised by individuals he characterized as anti-Democrats and party hijackers who, in his opinion, have pledged to thwart a true democratic process.

He emphasized that the PDP’s problems began as soon as Atiku Abubakar defeated Nyesom Wike in the party’s 2023 presidential primary.

He implied that Wike’s unwillingness to concede defeat created an internal crisis that has resulted in the party’s ongoing self-destruction.

“Wike went crazy right after the presidential primary and started enlisting his supporters to destroy the party that had produced him. Wike has benefited politically from the PDP since 1999, and instead of expressing appreciation, the only thing he could do was demolish the home that provided him with refuge, he claimed.

Ugochinyere continued, “Wike is at war with everyone, operating a dangerous political view, constantly insisting on having his way against democratic principles, which, in his opinion, led to the destruction of PDP.”

Despite the fact that some party members testified against him during the numerous legal actions to remove him, he insisted that he has no regrets about quitting the party because he did his best to keep it intact.

The Ideato representative urged his constituents and supporters to accept the new political family and get their membership cards since the new political period is here to stay, not only in the Constituency but throughout Imo State.

Ugochinyere claimed that because of recent developments in Venezuela, the international community will focus its attention on the country, making the 2027 general elections difficult for election manipulators.

“Your votes must undoubtedly count, so prepare your Permanent Voters Card.Trump is monitoring and prepared to take action, so there won’t be any space for manipulation. The people own sovereignty, which needs to be safeguarded at all costs, he declared.

Chima Amadi, a candidate for governor, stated earlier in his speech that Ugochinyere joined the APP without making any blunders.

According to him, Ugochinyere’s entry into the party will aid in driving the ruling APC out of the leadership corridor and establishing leadership based on justice, equity, and fairness.

Thousands of supporters and members of various political parties attended the ceremony at Ideato North Model Primary School Akokwa in support of the legislator.
